Review by hotel critic
During my recent two-night stay at the Zuvedra hotel in Ignalina, I was welcomed by an attentive and friendly staff, which set the tone for a delightful retreat surrounded by the natural beauty of Aukstaitija National Park. As we settled in, I was particularly pleased with the hotel's great amenities, including the well-kept grounds that overlook Lake Paplovinis, providing a serene backdrop for those idle moments I often cherish while travelling with my family. The hotel's restaurant offered a delectable range of traditional Lithuanian dishes, complemented by international cuisine, making every meal a culinary exploration of flavours. I appreciated the convenience of on-site dining after a day of hiking and sightseeing in the area-meaning we could indulge without the hassle of venturing far. One standout feature for us was the availability of free parking with video surveillance, adding a layer of security that felt reassuring, especially when travelling as a family. the free Wi-Fi and comfortable rooms-each equipped with cable TV and a bathroom-made for a cozy and connected stay. While the hotel has the charm of a rustic retreat, I found the option for bike hire a delightful invitation to explore the lush surroundings further. The Zuvedra proved to be a warm and welcoming destination, and I can easily see myself returning to this lovely corner of Lithuania in the future.
